Women’s Day in South Africa is celebrated annually on 9 August. In keeping with women empowerment, here is a look at five celebrities — from Jennifer Lopez to Salma Hayek — who have spoken out on botox and fillers, promoting natural beauty.
1. JENNIFER LOPEZ ON BOTOX
The Monster-in-law star said that she has never had botox but she has nothing against people doing it. However, she doesn’t feel like it is her thing.
“I haven’t ever had Botox to this day. I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing … I’m not saying one day I won’t, but I haven’t yet,” told editors during a Zoom call to discuss her skincare brand according to Page Six.

2. CAMERON DIAZ ON BOTOX
The Bad Teacher star said that has tried botox before but it changed her face and she did not like that. So, she decided that she did not want to be like that.
“I’ve tried [Botox] before, where it was like a little tiny touch of something. It changed my face in such a weird way that I was like, ‘No, I don’t want to be like that,” she said to Entertainment Tonight back in 2014.
“I’d rather see my face aging than a face that doesn’t belong to me at all,” she continued.
3. DREW BARRYMORE
The Blended star said that she has never done anything to her face. She also expressed that aging is a part of life.
“I’ve never done anything to my face and I would like to try not to,” she said on an episode of The Drew Barrymore show.
“We’re gonna age, things are gonna go south and it’s okay and it’s a part of life and I feel more human and more vulnerable every year of my life, but I also know how to appreciate every year more and more, too,” she continued.
4. HALLE BERRY
The actress admitted to contemplating plastic surgery in 2015 but expressed that she always wants to look like herself.
“Aging is natural, and that’s going to happen to all of us. I just want to always look like myself, even if that’s an older version of myself. I think when you do too much of that cosmetic stuff, you become somebody else in a way,” she said according to Page Six.
5. SALMA HAYEK
The Grown Ups star said that she does not believe in botox because your face does not move.
“I don’t believe in Botox because your face doesn’t move, and it’s something you have to do for the rest of your life, more and more every time,” she said to DuJour in 2017.
