(MENAFN) Cosmetics and perfume brands Lancome, Redken, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, and Kerastase will go back to the Russian market, so there will be excepted from the list of so-called similar imports, Russia’s Trade Ministry made an announcement on Monday.

“This became possible due to the readiness of these companies to resume deliveries of their products to Russia,” a ministry spokesperson stated.

A host of global beauty brands, as well as giants such as L’Oreal and Unilever stopped operations in Russia after the war broke out with Ukraine in late February.

In March, Moscow permitted so-called parallel imports, which let supplies of products without the authorization of the trademark owners, to fulfill the demand for foreign products on the Russian market.

The French beauty firm LʼOreal, which has the brands Lancome, Redken and Kerastase, in addition to the lines of cosmetics and perfumes Yves Saint Laurent and Giorgio Armani has not remarked on the issue up till now.
