Dehradun. There are 283 pharma companies in Uttarakhand, while 120 are cosmetic product manufacturing companies. Among them Dehradun, Haridwar, US Nagar and Pant Nagar are big hubs. Out of all these companies, 132 pharmaceutical companies are WHO certified. You will be surprised to know that most of the pharma companies are making poison in the name of medicines. This thing has come to the fore in the report of the Central Drug Standard Control Organization.
According to the data of October, sample tests of 1280 medicines of various companies from all over the country were done. Out of these, 1230 medicines have been found as per the demands. At the same time, there are 50 medicines which could not meet the standards of the Central Drug Standard Control Organization. Out of those medicines, 11 medicines have been made in 11 pharma companies of Uttarakhand.
Drug Controller Tajbir Singh said that among the failed samples, 4 from Gujarat, 1-1 from Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, 2-2 from West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, 7 from Uttar Pradesh, 6 from Madhya Pradesh, 6 from Tamil Nadu Samples of 3 medicines have failed. On the other hand, Health Department Secretary Rajesh Kumar says that the data has not come to him yet, but the issue is serious and will take action on the complaint.
