MUSCAT : During the inspection tours of the judicial seizure commissioners in the Al Dhahirah governorate, a commercial establishment was found to have large quantities of skin products on display that do not meet the specifications or contain explanatory data, as well as a number of counterfeit beauty products. Furthermore, the shop was found to store the products in inappropriate places wherein they are exposed to direct sunlight.
The goods are currently being investigated and legal measures are being taken against the establishment by imposing an administrative fine of 1000 Omani Riyal. The Consumer Protection Authority has assured that it will spare no effort to intensify market monitoring, control everything that would harm the health and safety of the consumer, and take legal measures against violators.
