COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A Fort Myers woman was arrested in connection to a theft spree targeting Ulta Beauty stores in Collier County.
Dava’Ja Ford, 22, is facing multiple charges of grand theft for stealing over $15,000 worth of cosmetics and fragrances from the stores, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
According to the report, the thefts occurred on Dec. 15, 2022, Dec. 22, 2022, Jan. 3, and Jan. 10.
Ford stole more than $15,500 worth of products from Ulta Beauty stores located at 2334 Pine Ridge Road and 13100 U.S. 41 E., CCSO said.
According to CCSO, Ford was arrested at the store located on U.S. 41 East after staff members caught her stealing fragrances. CCSO said staff recognized her from a Jan. 10 shoplifting incident where $1,297 worth of products were stolen.
CCSO investigators said Ford was seen on store surveillance putting fragrance bottles in her purse and attempting to put them back after she noticed deputies at the store.
CCSO said Ford can face more charges as the investigation continues.
